Noise reduction is the process of removing sensor noise from a digital image. almost all digital cameras have some sort of noise usually seen in the sky or shadow areas of a image. You'll notice it the most when taking Pics in a low light situation. I personally use Noise Ninja. It works as a plug in for Photoshop and does a great job at elemenateing digital noise from your pictures. Basically it blurs the noise and sharpens the edges (details) of a image. Sounds kinda weird, blurs but sharpens but I would recommend that plug in to any one. Does a nice job.
